June 5, 201313 yr Does any of you guys get in some sceneries, using this shader mod, super white textures when there's fog or a low ceiling? Like, most of the 3D objects turn white, eg, trees, houses, cars... I can only avoid those super whites using the default shader... My gfx card is a Radeon 6870... Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2 Please give me a test scenario. Is there a weather theme in FSX that can recreate it? Like fogged in? Or can you simply give explanation of detailed custom weather setting or even a METAR that does it? I have not had a problem yet but I have not dropped my visability below 10 miles since applying the SM3 patch. C.
June 5, 201313 yr You can test with the weather theme fogged in at lukla from aerosoft and el alto from LatinVFR... there are more sceneries where this happens... just remember those two... Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2

Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2 I do not have those. But I have others. I will check later tonight. But my best guess is that they are FS9 ports resold in FSX where the library object dont look right under modern shaders like DX10 and DX9 SM3. Reality is that if ACES had been around another 6 months, they would have finished patching DX10 and would have patched DX9 to SM3 for new hardware. But sadly the comminity is doing that and some of the devs dont bother to give a rats &@($* that we have advanced past vanilla FSX with out dated shaders. C.
