Reinstalling NGX- saved flights

Featured Replies

I am soon to reinstalll FSX Gold and many add ons, including the NGX, of course.  Is there away to keep my saved flights by archiving them on an external drive?  What is the path to saved flights and preferences for the NGX?

I am posting a similar thread on the MD11 forum.

Thanks,  Bruce.

C:\Users\<YourUserNameHere>\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files   - saved flights

<path to FSX>\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS -   your flightplans made in the FMC

<path to FSX>Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState - The saved panel states that match your saved flights

Should about cover it. You can copy those then restore after you do a clean install. Make sure you have the same livery installed as your save flights used or they won't work until you load it.

Thanks for the intel... I was looking to trim the excess flight plans stored into the FMC. Coincidentally, how can I set my aircraft to cold and dark? I had it set up before to where the aircraft will spawn cold and dark, but now I have to go through the FMC every time.

Hi Rodney,

Go into the CDU, select PMDG Setup>Startup State and select your preference...see an extract of the introduction manual...

4) STARTUP PANEL STATE: This prompt allows you select a
saved panel state that you would like the simulation to use as
your default panel condition every time the simulation is
launched. For example, if you were to select a Cold and Dark
scenario as the STARTUP STATE for the airplane, you will be
presented with that cold and dark panel state whenever and
wherever you choose the load the NGX.
