Carbon Cub Deluxe avionics

Recommended Posts

Ive been searching the forum and online and am unable to find anything on it.

I'm a "noob" and just got into flight sims. I purchased the carbon cub deluxe and I;m enjoying it, but I cant seem to figure out how to set the VOR. Can anyone guide me thru the process? Im assuming that the unit displaying "1200" is the squak box? Im unsure why the cub has this as I dont think Flight has ATC enabled, but I just got into flight sims so I may be wrong.

I appreciate the help!

Thanks!

Above the "squawkbox" is the radio panel.

Just hover the mouse above the buttons and it will explain itself. You can switch from COM to NAV, and dial frequencies with the knobs on the right.

Welcome to flight simming and this great forum! Always good to see new blood coming into the hobby,

I cannot personally help on this, VOR is something I keep meaning to learn in Flight, however have a read here - it is an excellent tutorial on VOR in Flight from what I understand.

http://forum.avsim.net/tutorials/article/75-complete-vor-tutorial/

This is in the Flight Early Tutorials, in the Tutorial section here on Avsim. There is a  wealth of other great information tucked away in there as well.

I hope this helps,

Thank you @@Heimi @@dburne @@HiFlyer and @@HemiPilot05 for the welcome. I have been into Sim Racing for many years and decided to make the jump over to Flight sims after watching a YouTube vid of a homemade 747 cockpit.

Thank you all for the links as well. The Flight Early Tutorials will keep me busy for a while.

Now that Ive been researching flight sims, Im looking into building a beast of a PC now. The wofe is going to be very unhappy since all of my hobbies are expensive.

Once again thank you all!!
