April 1, 201313 yr Well PMDG did it again. I purchased their planes and they are great planes. I thouught I would purchase FSBUILD to make flight plans quicker. So I purchase it and then I find when I exported the plan into FSX it will load the plan into the FMC, no problem. The issue is, the complete plan is not there. I find that PMDG strips a lot of the way points out of the imported FSBUILD plan which makes the flight incomplete. Their reason was it takes more programing for them and they don't want to go the extra miles. Too bad because they have a great plane. Les :Alien: lh
April 1, 201313 yr Personally never had a problem with the two. Try building the plan without the SIDs and STARs and TOD/TOC waypoints and then import it into the FMC. These things really should be added into the CDU flight plan later anyway. Greg Barber VeeOz Virtual VATPAC

I would also delete the runway in FSBuild before exporting, as the next time you import into the FMC the wind might have change direction and a different runway will be in use. David R. Madge
April 2, 201313 yr I've never lost any waypoints putting FSBuild flight plans into any of the PMDG planes. What I have had happen is FSBuild didn't recognize a waypoint I entered so when it built the route it just ignored it. And as Barbs said don't put SIDs and STARS in the FSBuild plans. They are in the FMC. That's how we do it in the real plane. We uplink the flight plan and then manually select the SID and STAR from the FMC. Tom Landry
April 2, 201313 yr Author Thank all for the very helpfull informstion on my question. After loading the flight plan from FSBULD I then added the SIDS and STARS from the information that I have on my Dauntless Ultrs plates which are downloaded and up to date. I made a flight plan from KSFO RWY 28R to KLAS RWY 25R. I then set the configuration for takeoff and all the radios on both sides of the aircraft "CAPTN - FO. I made my flight to Las Vegas McCarran and landed on the RWY 25R. I didn't loose any waypoints when i inserted them into the FMC all were there and all were reconized when i put them in. The only issue was I had some discontinuties in the plan which I corrected and everything was fine. LIFE IS GREAT!! :yahoo: I do have another question and I am in hopes you guys can help me out. I also have Active Sky which I have not used as of yet. My question is; when loading the flight plan into Active Sky will it be inserted into the FMC correctly of do I have to do that myself? The learning curve is now starting to straighten out thanks to all of your information and help. I love the PMDG planes and that is all I fly. April 5, 201313 yr Active sky and the CDU are not related. You will need to import them both separately (I think from separate files). Greg Barber VeeOz Virtual VATPAC
April 7, 201313 yr Active Sky is run seperately from the PMDG FMC, just open the application and set the airport and download it and it automatically connects to FSX Rob
