  1. Omar, If you want to run in sli you must have two video cards that is coupled together with a ribbon cable. If your card has not got this connector for a ribbon cable then the card is not sli able. Now, when running from one card with two monitors attached to it, there is a whole lot of video power being drawn from the one card and there is no way you will be able to get away from any stuttering in the video in FSX. FSX is a highly graphical program to run and it requires a lot of power / processor power etc to do so with all the add ons we now have available. I know because this sounds like a carbon copy of me in the beginning when I wanted to do the same and run against the same obstacles and questions that you have today. Don't miss understand me, you can still run the two monitors but in sli at this time. Les H :hi:
  2. Good morning 331BK, I wouldn't worry about frame rates as long as you don't have stutters in your video while flying. By that I mean when the video gets choppy and not a fluid motion. Even with my system and what I run I will get a little bit of stuttering in a heavy graphical area like LAX and running a highly graphically airport. As far as any Inspector settings for sli have none. I run FSX @5910x1080x32. I run 3 - 27" monitors without a problem and that takes some power to do that. If you like you can click on "my computer" on the side bar or you can click on the blue bar at the end of this comment and actually see my specs in detail. I also run sli through the the Nvidia control panel under the 3-D PHYSX configuration setup. I am in hopes this will help you? Les H :hi:
  3. Good morning Omar, First question is; are you running the two monitors from a single video card that has two connectors, one for each monitor? And your not running with a video split-er so you can run from the single video card? I have run more than one monitor on my system but I have 4 connectors for monitors in DVI mode. Les H
  4. Thanks Torium for a great looking banner!!!
  5. Sam Hunter - Bluejay517, Have fun and enjoy FSX in 2014 :yahoo: and may you have a long and enjoyable flight, HAPPY NEW YEAR  Les H :hi:
  6. I remember well these videos and how MS Flight Simulator evolved to where it is today. This is something everyone that is new to the simulator because they really don't know exactly how it has evolved to the present. Thanks to all that took the time and effort to bring this part of the history of the simulator that all love to fly today. :yahoo: These videos took me way back when I first started the flights on my Apple IIE with 64 K of ram. It is amazing on how far we have come today and this is what I was hoping for all these years. Thank you Tom for putting the video on Avsim for all to see. Les H :hi:
  7. Good morning Toriu, I understood part of your problem was activating your Acceleration in FSX. The file I gave you was set up only for that purpose as quite a while back I had the same problem and MS was still supporting FSX. Other than that, the file is all I can help you with as it is beyond my scope. lh
  8. No do nothing - just click on the "Here" word - this is a link to the file!
  9. Here it is! Hope this will help you out. lh
  10. Good morning toriu, I have had the same issue some time ago and when MS was still supporting fsx they had a file on their website that fixed the activation problem. If you are still in need of fixing the activation issue, let me know and I can get the fixer for you as I have downloaded it and saved the file. Regards , lh
  11. Good morning everyone, If I can I would like to chime in on this one. I have been away from FSX for awhile now. I have to say with out a doubt that FSX DX10 now runs exactly the way that I wanted it to run years ago :yahoo: !! With Steves DX10 fixer and with pj's help and suggestions I now have a brand new sim to fly and am amazed at the lighting at night which I had blinking lights and now I have steady flow of lights when flying. Also, the papi lights are fixed and I now have realistic lights on the papi lights and runway lights. Thank you Steve P and pj for a sim that is now great to fly with. Now for FPS, I also have a frame rate decrease even with the beefed up machine that I run. The real and only reason is how much am I running when I have the low fps? When I run all of my scenery, weather, aircraft and my load on graphics is extremely high and don't miss understand I am not talking about jacking the sliders to max. While flying at LAX I will get a lower FPS around 12-16-22. The reason is that California is highly graphically intense. This is one testing I have done and then I flew in my hometown and the FPS is running very smooth and with the highly intense graphics in the LAX area and others will have a heck of a pull on the machine. This is a common thing and you can not get away from it. Take a look at "my pc" and you can see what the machine is running at. So, when the graphics stutters a little bit and I am getting less fps than I think I should I now think of how much I am pushing the machine to do what my demands on the machine are. Anther thing is when I fly LAX I should be shutting down all the scenery that i am not planning on flying over and this is done through the FSX Scenery Library. This will help. I might add, my profile on what I run is not up to date and when I get some time I will have to update it. Les H :hi:
  12. Good morning Sascha, in response to your question on what to use for making a video? There are many video editing program out there. One program you now have which Fraps is an excellent program to record the video from the screen. Two programs that I have is Ultra Power Director 10, by CyberLink and Movie Edit Pro 17 HD by Magix. Both programs are great programs, but I found for me that I prefer Movie edit when I make a video. Before purchasing your program read and see if you need all the bells an whistles. I also tried Windows movie editor and found it didn't have what I wanted. I am in hopes I have pointed you in the right direction? Have a good one and will be looking forward to seeing your video when completed. :yahoo: Les H :hi:
  13. Paul, Thank you my old friend, I knew you could help Tony out. :im Not Worthy: lh :yahoo: :hi:
  14. Good morning flyforever, First question. Before you installed Steve's fixer did you make a copy of your stock shader's? If you did, you can copy them back into FSX and bring back your original shader's, and then re install Steve's fixer and first print out the manual and follow it. I am hope this might help? The shaders are found in your FSX root directory under "Textures". Les H :hi:
  15. You simmers that are complaining about Steve Parsons fixer should thank god that there is a programmer out there and I will say an excellent programmer that has taken his time to fix what Microsoft should long time ago. You would not have DX10 running the way it is running today with his fixes. I had paid the price and because of the new fixes I have purchased FTXG and I have not looked back. And if it wasn't for his fixes I would not have proper shadows in my A2A C-172 trainer and the great looking scenery in the Orbx global scenery. So please let the man get what wants for his program and quit whining. lh :hi:
