Want a smooth flightsim

Guys you need to try this found a post in ftx forum link: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/57446-nvidia-inspector-58-fps/

Tried this and I think Micky is on to something very interesting, never had a smoother experience, here are my settings for NI & FSX this is only for nividia users, now I have been using the outside limiter but with this new setup I do not use it as it is taken care of in NI try it I think you will like it.

8xSGSS... I know my poor 580 will choke real bad haha. Obviously your Titan plays in another league when it comes to AA. Enjoy it!

Hi Dario how have you been - yah never know use most of these settings and turn 8xSGSS down a bit for the most part this is a pretty stable setup just have to tweak a little bit

Unfortunately I can't try it ATM, but to be honest those settings look a bit all over the place. Not saying they won't work, we all know FSX is a lot about try-and-see, but...

AA set to "Enhance the app setting" theoretically will render the rest of the AA settings in inspector useless.

FXAA looks like a blurry mess to me, assuming it works with AA set to "Enhance the app setting", that is

Power management should definitely be set to "Prefer maximum performance". Otherwise you risk your GPU entering power saving modes and downclocking itself

...and there are 3 different frame rate limiters in Vsync (set to 30 or 60 depending on your monitor refresh rate), Inspector limiter (set to 58) & internal FSX limiter (set to 30)

With the internal limiter set to 30, the Inspector limiter set to 58 is not going to do anything

So it looks to me like you essentially have Vsync to 1/2 the refresh rate (I'm guessing your monitor's refresh rate is 60Hz, so will limit to 30FPS) and the internal limiter is set to 30, which is essentially Word Not Allowed's configuration for added smoothness. That surrounded with a bunch of settings that honestly make no sense to me

AA set to "Enhance the app setting"     going to check that out

"FXAA looks like a blurry mess to me,"     looks great here

"Power management should definitely be set to "Prefer maximum performance"    hmm missed that one need to change that usually do have on max performance

"Inspector limiter set to 58"    for some reason this works great maybe my monitor dell ultra sharp 27" never been right since day one but dell told me to get lost

Uncheck the light bloom option and you'll get a nice performance boost.

Surely you will have an even smoother experience if you drop supersampling down to 4xSGSS?
