April 7, 201313 yr Have you tried the Addon_Converter_X? Demo mode should tell you if it is compatible or not. Hopefully you updated it to the basic FSX compatibility mode. April 7, 201313 yr It will depend upon which version of the Patch that you have, Doeke: it works with a variant of 3.2.1, but the external textures need to be modified to DX1 - no Alpha, using DXTBMP or ConvimX, as they become somewhat transparent. Whereas it has a vc, it's a poor model by "modern" FSX standards, and I think there are much better DC-2's or -3's around nowadays. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
April 7, 201313 yr Author well, just flight is not a very good aircraft builder and as you said maam is outdated. I have noticed there is a default fsx (I think) with freeware from rikoooo with BT67 anyone who has experience with it? paula
April 7, 201313 yr It depends on whether you prefer your Virtual cockpits to be "photoreal" or drawings. In point of fact, there isn't a DC 3 VC to equal the MaamSim version which was made from photographs of an actual aircraft. It is very unfortunate that there is little or no chance of an FSX version, as the MaamSim team have stated that they will be making no more models. It is a mark of its original quality that although designed for Fs2002 it has survived thus far and will work in Dx10, albeit without working alpha channels in the textures. Thankfully, the Uiver DC2, also photoreal, has been completely remodeled for FSX. But it's not a DC3. The other versions, whether free or payware, feature either the default DC3 VC or a drawing of one, which I find look more like cartoons. There is room in the market for a really good Dc3 model, compatible with FSX and that P3D thing and I think it would sell like hot cakes. It's a shame that none of the top flight developers think so too. Regards, Nick.
April 8, 201313 yr Author thanks for the update. I will buy the dc2 from flight1 to modify the maam dc3 in a way workeble for the dx10 sounds very technical for me. paula
