"......have been running 3 monitors with VC spanned across all 3.  I loaded up a flight this morning and noticed that FSX was only displaying on 1 screen (center).  I tried to move the edge of the FSX screen to the other monitors but nothing was happening.  I can move the top and bottom screen but not the sides.

Right click desktop and go to 'resolution', be sure its still set for multimonitors, maybe MS did an update that changed it?

I received a windows update today and they slipped in a new NVIDIA driver - 311.06 WHQL or something like that. Maybe the same happened to you? Might be affecting your setup?

Anyway, it does not even appear on the NVIDIA site so I have no idea what was in it or why Windows update delivered it, so even though it seemed to work well enough, I re-installed my last NVIDIA driver.

Interesting.

I wish they wouldn't be auto installing drivers. I only opted for autoinstall of security patches in Windows.

New in GeForce 310.90:

  • Adds a security update for the NVIDIA Display Driver service (nvvsvc.exe).

Maybe because of that security thing in it.

I wiped out my driver and downloaded the latest 314.22 and it seems to have fixed the issue.

But when I load a saved flight that usually fills all the three monitors, this time, it wants to shrivel up to a single monitor. But it does allow me to expand it and overlay over to the three monitor. Its annoying that I have  do this every time.

I had 314.22 but just yesterday ended up rolling back to 310.90 because I was getting screen freezes with sound when I got well into a flight. Almost never happened in windowed mode though - only full screen so you may never be bothered by it (you may never be bothered by it anyway since others have been using that version without issue).

... and then today Microsoft decides to throw 311.06 onto my system - thanks a bunch guys!

I have MS updates set to "Notify me but do not install".... it's saved me from the MS gurus numerous times
