April 14, 201313 yr I have no intention of ever releasing this to the public, but I thought I'd share it with you. It's not super accurate. But it's alright for a first pass.I really have no idea how to put it into FS, I'd like to learn that part so I can create some high quality models for everyone. I'm just a CAD modeler.
April 15, 201313 yr Author I use Rhino, it's nurbs modeling, but can export meshes. However I can learn any CAD software fairly easily.
April 16, 201313 yr Do you want to export it into FSX or FS2004? Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
April 17, 201313 yr Author I'll be wanting to export my models to FSX. What is the program that most developers are using? Rhino has no direct control over meshes, you can only she the mesh size on export (more or fewer polys)
April 17, 201313 yr A shame as you are not willing to share but it is understandable as it is your work. She a good looking though already. Best of luck, I am sure you will find some help around here. Also, try http://www.fsdeveloper.com/ , those are the guys that pretty much make the magic happen when it comes to stuff like this. April 17, 201313 yr I agree - you can start here: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=SDK_Installation_%28FSX%29 Check out the Related Links at the bottom too. Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
April 18, 201313 yr Author I would be willing to share but I know from past forum reading that Gulfstream is very sensitive about people modeling, and distributing their aircraft hence the funny thread topic. I'm currently building a G150 as well I'll post pics of that one as well. I think I may try to do a nice high quality freeware plane soon. I'd want to partner with someone who can do a quality air file and help with changes.
May 10, 201313 yr Author I thought I'd share a little progress...though I found a cross section of the fuselage, so I'll likely start over and rebuild with the correct section.
