April 15, 201313 yr I'd heard good things about them in the past with regards to aircraft repaints, and decided to take the plunge and have them do a custom QW 75 for me (at $50 BTW). Let me start off by saying this review of sorts is in no way finished, as I'm still waiting on a response from Customer Service regarding this. Anyone that owns the QW 757 knows the Livery Manager, how it works, and how hassle free it is. I'm also fairly certain those of you that have the bird have peeked inside either the aircraft folder or the .QWL Livery files themselves, just to have a look around. Moving on - I made my payment upon notification that it was complete, received the link to download the livery, and proceeded to open it up once finished. Oddly enough though, it wasn't in a QW Livery Manager format, meaning that the Livery Manager won't recognize it, and thusly, can't read or install it. This is the exact file structure of the zip file I was sent. Not only is it missing key files, but they're in the wrong format as well. They should be in bmp format. Not a dds or DirectDraw Surface format. Ugh... Now, here is the file structure of a .QWL file. Notice the differences and missing components? That's it for now. Hopefully this was just some sort of mixup and they uploaded the incorrect file. However, for $50 I certainly expected a lot more. Bryan Ott
April 15, 201313 yr Commercial Member I guess you could use DXTBmp program and convert those DDS textures to BMP format. I ordered two liveries for my virtual airline from them, one for QW RJ85 and one for PMDG Beech 1900C. Apparently Cielosim owns neither model so I had to do some slight adjustments to the files of both textures and then had to convert to right format to make them work, but I was happy with the end result. (the paint is very complex one, beyond my skills).
April 15, 201313 yr Let me get this straight, you paid $50 for an unrealistic Air France 757 repaint? You need to learn how to add repaints manually, it's not difficult. They provided you only the new files needed
