Loss of use of the mouse only in the VC of the 737NGX

Recommended Posts

Hi - has anyone any idea as to why the mouse would stop turning the knobs ect  in the VC -only from the view from the Captains seat - of the 737NGX? The mouse retains movement but is non fuctional in this view. The mouse works in any other view in the VC. I use EZDOK camera. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks Shaun Keegan

I sometimes get the same problem, and EZDok seems to be at the root of it. Try pressing 2 on your number pad, followed by a minor adjustment of your viewpoint (perhaps zoom out or in, then put it back where it was), then press 2 again to re-save the camera. That usually works for me. When it doesn't, I just delete the offending camera and start again.

Regards,

PD

I don't use EZDok (any more), but I noticed that the mouse stops working if you zoom out too far. Try a higher zoom value for this specific view.

Shaun - it happens to me also. ....and I haven't got EZDOK. Never had it.

The mouse functions normally re-appear after a short while. Can't seem to pin it down.

Quite annoying.

If the users viewpoint is inside any of the cockpit geometry (such as the seat or headrest behind the user) then the VC clickspots will not work, as technically you are no longer inside the VC as far as FSX is concerned. Move the viewpoint slightly forward and you will likely find that it starts working again.

Cheers, Andy.
