Just to say, I bought this product two days ago. I'm not a real world pilot, I have been simming for a long time and I know how much enjoyment I'm getting from this product. After the airfile fix I have to agree...I had a flight last night that was the BEST 172 experience I've ever had in flight simulator. That VC just feels different than other planes out there. very well done.

I was not planning on buying this one because I prefer planes that fly faster with a litle more horsepower under the cowl, but the way everyone is raving about the realism of this plane , I may not have a choice. I will probably get it after the FS-9 patch comes out. I just did a clean install of MSFS and want to see how the patch effects it before I load up all my add-ons.

How does the airfile fix improve the default a/c and where did you get the fix from? BTW, this is the first a/c on which I have used the vc and I have PMDG et al.RegardsAdrian

Hello,I'm just a sim pilot so I don't have any real world experience.I just updated my 172R with the new airfile update and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Maybe the original was real-world but I could not fly this aircraft off the runway without a real war!!!! Many stalls and crashes.I use a GoFlight setup for my cockpit and the ELEV trim wheel with the original was impossible. After the update, the aircraft response is as smooth as can be. I just flew the 172R into KCHS with the rainy weather situation and the flight seemed very real to me.Anyway, just thought I would add my two cents to the issue.Thanks for all of the forum help that I have received over the years.Ron SagelNear KCHS
