April 21, 201313 yr Author ahhh yes.. I read that forum.. But don't know what does this mean: I get all kinds of bizzare error messages from .NET modules in FSX. I traced it to registry permissions (I took a Nuke to the problem and set the entire registry security to "Everyone" and "Full Control"). Cured my ills! I am 100% certain that particular fix worked. I no longer suffer issues with .NET and FSX. Do I have to go to the register and do something? 1. So there are 3 things to do: ENB series out... 2. Know if simconnect is installed right. I don't have the UAC. Also turned off.. but if it is not just an install the right to do.... Well.. I don't know what steps do to make the install correct. Seems that is working, because with Linda, I see how is loaded (used) simconnect, but maybe sometimes is "broken"? 3. .Net.. the same as 2. I have them.. but how know if they are right? I used your check program.. seems that they are right. I have from 2.0 sp1.. doesn't say anything about 2.0... I suppose in sp1 is included.. Don't know. Well.. I hate this.. more time configurating than flying! (nothing new under the sun). The real thing is FSX works ok with no so many addoms.. but this last year I became mad and started to buy a lot and install a lot. That may corrupt something inside... Now is time to know what was. Very kind your help!! really really nice and thankyou! Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 21, 201313 yr I have from 2.0 sp1.. doesn't say anything about 2.0 You need to have Version 1.1 installed as that came with FSX/Acceleration. Dotnet 2.0 came much later. In regards to registry permissions, what I did was go to the Main fsx directory, right clicked and selected Properties. Under Sharing tab I made sure it was being shared. Under the Security tab I made sure everyone had permissions. That might have been the issue I was having with SimConnect (lack of permissions). In any case, everything is working for me now. April 21, 201313 yr Author Great, Thanks! I am installing 1.1 and sp1 but don't know if it will do right because it says it has compatibility issues with my Operating system (windows 7 64bits). Also I am putting all files to write possible, because there was some with read-only... and will change the permisions and security. Will tell. I am doing with Acronis try and decide in case something goes wrong... Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 21, 201313 yr Author New things found. Sometimes I have an error that produces Rex Latitude to CTD. Didn't pay too much attention because for me was more important FSX but since I have the FSX issues maybe this is related with FSX CTD. This happened with .net 1.1sp1 installed and changed permisions and protections in FSX: error1: Faulting application name: latitude.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x51214703 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17725, time stamp: 0x4ec49b8f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000222b2 Faulting process id: 0x724 Faulting application start time: 0x01ce3ed16972270b Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\REX\Latitude\latitude.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll error2: Application: latitude.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. April 21, 201313 yr if it will do right because it says it has compatibility issues with my Operating system (windows 7 64bits). If you are having a problem with that, then you are having a major problem with your operating system. FSX is a 32 bit program that works inside a Windows 7, 64 bit system without any problems. This is why dotnet has a version for 32 bit apps and one for 64 bit applications you might have installed on your system. If it is having compatibility issues, then Windows 7, 64 bit must not be installed properly. For dotnet, you need to check Windows Update and the Options tab. For some reason Microsoft places dotnet updates under the options tab as an optional update. You need to uninstall Latitude.exe or whatever that program is and then reinstall it. What happened is that you updated and have the correct versions of dotnet and MSV's installed and now maybe they will all install correctly. In any case, you are making progress. You had a NTDLL.dll crash which indicates a problem with memory. Sliders too high? In any case it is related to memory. This could be caused when a program like Latitude is not installed correctly or it is looking for permissions or it is looking for files and cannot find them so it crashes. I see REX has a specific forum for Latitude and you need to be a registered user to view it so I would recommend you check that forum out. I'm sure other users have had problems too. They might also have an update. Latitude crashed because of dotnet framework 4.0.30319 which indicates to me that it is possibly the wrong version it was looking for. That's why I recommend reinstalling a troublesome product after installing new versions and updates to dotnet. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! April 21, 201313 yr Author Yes... I will do for sure. But I think they are going to release more updates for Latitude. Well when they finish simair.. that is my next buying. Finally I decided to rollback from 1.1 installed. Twice I run FSX in test mode (acronis) twice shutdown Latitude (maybe because the framework..) but have to check inside updates of windows 7. Made a 1:30 minutes flight today in Australia Orbx with the P51. Noticed that because I have tide the combo panel with GPS, when moving the knobs of the GPS in MCP combo, automatically the FSX menu was selected. Remember the problem with multiple access to menus produced CTD. Of course I have UIAutomationCore.dll inside the main folder of FSX.. but who knows.. not play too much with devil. So with this flight I have 2 continuous without issues. Maybe is the FSUIPC not autosave recomendation that I saw in a forum, and the deactivation of an axis to manipulate rudder trim with joystick? well maybe.. going to continue flying and testing.. if the bad CTD comes again then..... more testing.. One good thing that happened with the change of permisions is that the auto-update of RXP came.. so I updated (thought that I did).. but sometimes (happened me twice).. I don't know why after a problem with FSX, reloading it ask me all the modules permision to load. I think I had a problem with RXP... now it loaded. Hope the RxP problem is gone. Thanks! will keep informed, not only because my case, but also to let know others that could have the same problem. Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 22, 201313 yr Author Ok.. a good and a bad news about this issue. The RXP problem is solved. Seems that the asked permision of the promp box worked good so I don't have more the RXPgauge problem. This demonstrates that this has nothing to do with the problem of MSVCR80.dll. The bad news is that again I had another CTD. I think my 2 issues come from the same root. This time I had 5 minutes after starting to be in the cockpit a stop response of trackir (the lights in trackir are ok.. and in trackir program is ok, but the problem seems to be the connection with FSX suddently stops). And the pedals stopped also. But the funny thing was that I could manage the MCP combo and joystick this time. Strange. After some time trying to connect the trackir inside FSX.. it crashed saying fsx stopped working.. and I have 2 information msg: information: Fault bucket 2041587770, type 5Event Name: BEXResponse: Going to give permisions... but yesterday I tried to give permisions to all and didn't let me in some boxes areas. The thing is that for more than a year I didn't have any problem.. so I believe must be something different than .Net problem.. or permisions.. but who knows.... Javier Rollon. April 22, 201313 yr Author Ok.. I give up.. this don't have any sense... too much time loose in this direction. I tested after changing permisions and other things and the crash still comes. Because I made several backups with Acronis.. I am going to recover the one that I know it was good. A full PC configuration backup.. That way I know it should be alright. After that I will be installed the addoms that I was installing and checking with flights. Will report if I find the one that is making this issue. Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 22, 201313 yr The MSV 2005 file - MSVCR80.dll is doing what it is suppose to do. MSV 2005 is used by developers of FSX and FSX addons to make sure their product is installed properly. If it is not installed properly, it will crash. I was told that Microsoft FSX was developed with dotnet 1.1 and MSV 2005. Acceleration used 2005 w/SP1 but they forgot to include SP1 with the installation of Acceleration so you need to make sure you have that installed. You do have it installed as you have the 6195 version which is the latest. People have uninstall old MSV's thinking they are not needed and then see that FSX will not even start up. MSV's and dotnet framework programs are not backward compatible. It sounds like your main issue now is Latitude from REX. I would uninstall it until they update it or fix it. I'm not sure which version of dotnet they used for that program. Sorry to hear you are still having problems. Be careful with Acronis and FSX. You have a lot of programs installed that uses security to make sure you are not pirating. I do not see how Aconis can make sure those secret security software locations and entries are still there when you try to reinstall. Otherwise, you can make a backup of FSX and send it on to all of your friends. I think you will still need to reinstall the programs that have security built in. April 22, 201313 yr Author Well.. I made a restore a month ago and didn't have any problem. Because is a total same "photograph" of the old installation I should not have any problem. It only works in my system. Any change to it.. won't work... so that way they ensure nothing is pirated. About Latitude.. no.. in the last report this morning, I didn't run latitude.. so it has not to be it. Maybe it is ORBX scenary with d3d9.dll ENB series.. I read someone had CTD because of that with ORBX scenaries... Didn't have any problem in my Australia one before.. but that is maybe because Australía is almost a desert (the areas I flought).. and the mountains I was flying this morning made it mad... with lots of trees. Maybe.. but I don't know how a d3d9.dll is making deactivation of hardware while it let FSX continue working... No idea. Anyway.. I am already 3 hours restoration in my big PC so will tell if I find this issue or not. Thanks! Pd: by the way.. you say I have installed .NET 1.1 or not? Do I need to install it or not? Because as said.. almost in 2 years flying FSX didn't have any problem. Never a CTD. Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 22, 201313 yr Well.. I made a restore a month ago and didn't have any problem. Okay. I hope the problems you are having now happened long after the restore from Acronis. Microsoft.net v1.1 through version 4.5 must be installed on your system. FSX cannot work properly with just 4.5 installed. Like I said, they are not backward compatible (per Google). April 23, 201313 yr Author Well.. I recovered my previous copy of all the computer and made some flights during these 2 days... No CTD.. no problem at all. Installed a few things I had in the conflict FSX.. FOR NOW no issues. Toke a look if I had installed .Net 1.1 and didn't see it.. only from 2.0sp2. I think what happened is that something messed up my FSX... For example before this episode I tried 3 times to update ORBX Australia to sp4.002 from sp4 and once I do with or whitout computer reset it don't let me open FSX and break things. I posted in ORBX forums about this but they didn't hit the solution... so I don't install SP4.002 update. FORBIDEN! This problem I had is more difficult to find because it appeared at least once every 2 flights or so.. Now with 5 flights I made 1 hour each or so.. no issue found.. So I will continue testing.. and if I don't see issues.. then that will be my next acronis backup.Acronis is a really really GREAT TOOL!!! Expensive but it already saved me several times. The time I saved is well paid!!!! Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
