Everything has been working fine

Featured Replies

I never enjoyed FSX as much as I have in the last couple of week. Installing FS2Crew.  Active sky 2012 working Like a dream. Also VATSIM all working really well.

Until tonight. I just can't get the NGX to load up. I've tried dozens of times. Also stating with the default planes to try and clear any corrupt default flight.

Everything perfect then over night, it all stops working. No reason, no obvious clue.  :(

Hi there, before diving into appcrashviewing and such, rename your fsx.cfg to for example fsx.bak and fire up FSX again to see if it starts.

I tried that and it didn't work.

I like the way windows 7 says, Checking for a solution. :) 'Hey I'm Windows 7, I don't really know what is wrong, but I will check for a soultion!'

I think, I've like you say just try diffrent things, and possibiliy re-intall everything. FSX is a bit like stepping on egg shells.

Please fill free to talk about appcrashviewing, I'm a little tired and feed up to be honest tonight. But would appreciate any advice. Maybe have another go tomorrow.

A really frustrating problem, with no real soultion.

best regards

Jools, these things tend to be insanely complicated before you find the solution and very simple when you finally solve them :)

I would recommend posting in the CTD forum, get appcrashviewer installed and post the result, Jim and other very skilled guys here would have a look at the appcrash result and would propably be able to guide you in the right direction.

Good luck mate,

Question: Do you have Flaps or Speedbrakes assinged to an axis of an external hardware device such as a yoke or whatever?

If yes, try to remove the axis within the FSX settings and try to load the NGX. If it works, you have the same problem like me.

I talked to Tabs and he said it will be fixed after 777 release.

I do have flaps set to a Saitek Pro throttle, on the blue handle, just via FSX assignments.

The PMDG loaded with the controller disabled. But it also CTD with them disabled. Although great that it loaded at all, I'm still unsure if that has resolved it.

I might load the appcrashviewer just to see if it is any use.

Thanks for your replys.

It does seem to load a lot more often with the controller out I must admit.  Good spot if this is so!
