Dual video cards hurt FSX performance?

Warning
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 and other dual GPU graphics cards
to be a significant performance decrease to FSX. This is due to
their integrated dual GPU design. [Company name] is not offering these
models due to low FSX test results.

Anybody here have direct experience testing this, or know of specific review articles or tests that have been published/posted somewhere?

I don't have testing experience, but I got my system from Jetline 2 1/2 years ago, and I'm really impressed with their knowledge and great customer support.  I went withe single 580 GTX.

It doesn't hurt it but it doesn't help either the second card will be at idle when FSX is running.

Are you sure that's the case? You can run NVidia Surround with 3 monitors. If one card is totally idle, how is Surround working? Are you saying the one card is just routing its output through the second card's DVI outlet with the second card being completely passive?

I run 4 moniters off my 1 GTX 660Ti but yea I think the other card just acts as an output if your running more than one while running FSX

Word Not Allowed here did an SLI test with FSX. Although it did improve the outside views of the aircraft, it didn't really do anything for the virtual cockpit views.
