September 30, 200421 yr I thought I'd have a go with FSAutostart. I've read various posts on Avsim where people have used it so I thought I try it out on my XP system. I set services and programs to stop. I also set the configuration settings and also set ActiveSky to load prior to FS9. Everything saved as needed. However, when I press Start nothing happens. Also, when I go back to FS Autostart I can't see any of my selections. It seems to revert back to default. I presume I've gone wrong somwhere.

September 30, 200421 yr Author No, that still doesn't work. I think I can see a flash of a command window but that's it.
September 30, 200421 yr Not to state the obvious, but under Miscellaneous Options, did you actually press the various options available. The Defragment Memory option will take upwards of 45 seconds to perform, but you've got to push down on that option with your mouse cursor to make it work. Also when you make any changes, are you sure you're hitting the Save button on the page where the options have been changed? This really does improve performance though the more powerful your CPU, the less likely you are to see any benefit. Additionally, shutting down all of the recommended services frees up a good deal of memory for the sim to gobble up. :9

However, when I opened it last night it didn't seem to contain anything more text about FS Autostart. I did check in services and programs and my changes didn't appear to have been saved (I did click SAVE on both services, programs and configuration).I have the latest build (number 9 I believe)Victor

October 9, 200421 yr Yes, I did. However, I was out of town for almost a week and I have quite a backlog to go through. I'll get to it today or tomorrow.
