April 27, 201313 yr Hi hope someone can help me with this as i'm now stumped I know its something i'm doing but don't know what it is. I recently purchased UT2 and on reading some of the stuff with that I decided to install the sdk kit from the acceleration pack of fsx so as far as i know I have the latest release. I installed the sdk onto my C drive using admin rights and not the default setup ie program files but straight to its own folder in the root c drive directory all is fine as far as i can tell I want to use the traffic toolbox items so when I navigate to the dll file in my users section and the fsx section I find what I need but I think the path to the tool box is wrong.Initially it was showing <Path>..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll</Path> I changed this to <Path>c:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll</Path> but when run fsx I can't find how to access the toolbox either on the add on section or using the settings page and the traffic section, any ideas what i'm doing wrong as I've never used the sdk before I have no idea what or where to look for things. many thanks Pete Little
April 27, 201313 yr Maybe it is disabled? The code should look like this in order to show the Traffic Toolbox enty: <disabled>false</disabled> IIRC, all contents of the SDK are disabled by default. Florian
April 27, 201313 yr Author it would appear to have installed ok but I can't see anything any ideas? As I changed the manual from false to true and it now asks me if I want to run the toolbox so I think it's installed but I have no access to it Pete Little

April 28, 201313 yr I installed the sdk onto my C drive using admin rights and not the default setup ie program files but straight to its own folder in the root c drive directory all is fine as far as i can tell One of the items mentioned at the FS Developer site, that I linked above, is that the SDK level *MUST* match the level of your FSX installation. You say you have installed the SDK? What SDK, RTM, SP1, SP1a, SP2 or FSXA? Where it is installed is not that important. What version has been installed is.
April 28, 201313 yr Author sorry its the version that came with fsx acceleration I installed it at the same level as fsx which is also not in program files but straight onto the root directory of my c drive thanks Pete Little
April 28, 201313 yr Author Ok I 've done some more troubleshooting and chkd that as far as i can tell i have the latest updates bu in my fsx.cfg 2 of the trusted entries for the sdk kit keep changing back to a 0 instead of a 1 As pere the sdk troubleshooting suggestions and I am still not getting the "TOOLS" option in the add on sections the next thing it suggests is that I remove all my addons and load back each one individually to see if that causes it ,but why? I only have a couple fsuipc, pmdg and couatl for fsdt stuff any ideas before i do this Pete Little
