April 28, 201313 yr Does anyone know if you can assign a headset with a microphone to assign to talk in joystick setup, just like a real pilot. I would presume that you would need an aviators headset so any recommendation would be most helpful. Thanks John
April 29, 201313 yr John. Yes of course you can. I will run through my setup for you. First you need a headset and mic to talk to Vox ATC. I use a single earpiece set from Cybertronics, and it is USB. Go to your Vox ATC voice configuration settings and select this device for playback (Speakers=.USB Pnp sound device) yours may be different but select whatever you have installed. Now go to Joystick and keyboard setup and under Keyboard select a key stroke of your choice for"Assign press to talk" Now assign that key stroke to your yoke PTT button (mine is the "E" button on my Saitek yoke, and now when you press and hold that button you will talk to Vox ATC and when you release it you will hear Vox ATC through your headset. April 29, 201313 yr I used to use a program called joker, which allowed you to assign a joystick button to a keystroke, FSUIPC will also allow you to do the same. Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
