I just did a clean install of FSX and everything is great except one annoying issue. When I press Shift +z to bring up FPS and/or other information, it is obscured by the menu bar. IN other words, the red text is barely visible behind the transparent menu. I have attached a screen shot below. Any tips on how to fix this?

 

 

A quick&dirty tip is to hide the menu bar and activate it by the ALT key only when needed.

Had this happen to me recently.

 

I edited the fsx.cfg to have HideInfoText=1 and changed some other things.

 

Make sure you have:

HideMenuNormal=1

 

in the [Main] section

 

in your fsx.cfg. I just changed that from 0 to 1 and it fixed it up for me.

I discovered that just yesterday, but I was pretty sure that this is somehow related to HideInfoText, since that't the only change I recently made.
