October 5, 200421 yr Author There is a great france version. Project Mach 2 or what it was called? Then lately I have heard of some altitude version don
October 5, 200421 yr Its not free, but the Altitude Concorde is awesome.Check out the site, www.sstsim.com , the only unfortunate thing is that its only available as a boxed product, as far as I know.Dan.
October 5, 200421 yr I Second Altitude Concorde, once you fly that, Freeware is out the window, it's simply the best.
October 5, 200421 yr Author Cool. Well not that it was payware but it was so good :D Are there any reviews out there?
October 5, 200421 yr The only review I know of is the "paper" review by PCPilot magazine. Its a truely awesome addon, I can't find fault with it really, well, I could say that it is maybe too complex, but thats the beauty of it really.I would say its probably one of the best addons I have brought.Dan.
October 5, 200421 yr I agree, the SSTSIM Concorde is a gorgeous product. A lot of Concorde specific details simulated. But that also means it requires a great deal of patience to learn the manuals.Michael
October 5, 200421 yr Author Ok now would be nice if there would be a concorde pilote around here who could comment on flight characteristics. But the last report is that there is less Concorde pilots than astronauts so fat chance for that I guess :D
October 5, 200421 yr Check out this video (46 MB)http://217.160.89.38/fs.de/media/video/concorde.wmvThe last flight, made with the SSTSIM-Concorde in FS. Includes some real ATC from the last flight and great music. I almost had tears in my eyes when I saw it the first time.... "Speedbird 2, the last time request landing" ...Michael
October 5, 200421 yr Thanks, gentlemen, one and all. Some useful comment and advice here. I shall take a look. October 5, 200421 yr Author Really good video. But the exterior seem a bit poor in detail but cool special effects though :) That door look painted on though.
October 5, 200421 yr I'm surprised that noone has mentioned the upcoming Concorde from PSS. If you end up deciding that the freeware options don't meet your expectations, then be sure to *wait* until the PSS Concorde is released. No, not because we know it'll be better - but because we don't know! Once it's released, you'll have a few payware options to choose from, and you can make a better decision at that point. You can check out prerelease screenshots in the PSS forum here. -Greg
