October 8, 200421 yr Hi, Mike.>There is a lot of hubbub about flying exactly by the numbers; as a matter of fact when you fly line aircraft you will come to find that they don't always fly exactly by the numbers either because as time passes each takes on its own personality so you come to know each "ship number" and her individual quirks. So as long as a developer gets the MSFS within the ball park they are presenting a reasonable facimile thereof.

The number game that MS plays with and other with more mathematic approaches like IL 2 and X-plane for example.The difference is that those with more mathematic approaches tend to feel more real and fluid while those based on numbers generally feel more artificial. Very easy to compare the different strategies in games like IL 2 and CFS 3 and see which one may be more real in general :)So I am not sure going by numbers is the best way to simulate how real airframes do.
