This is my first post, so hello everyone!

 

I have an annoying problem with FSX Gold Edition.

 

If I start at the Free Flight Page and try to change the current location to UK, I get "Wales" under State/Province with just one airport (Tremorfa Foreshore EGFC).

 

So, I have to change from "Wales" to "Any" and then I get the full list of UK airports, which is what I wanted in the first place!

 

Is this a known anomaly, please?

 

Is it possible to delete "Wales" so I can go straight to "Any"?

I've just had a check with mine and can only select 'United Kingdom' as it is, I can't then select a state/province unfortunately, so I'm not sure how that's occurred?

 

However, as Dave has mentioned below, 'Clear Filters' will do the trick for you.

Well, first there is no such thing as a "FSX Gold" installation. FSX Gold is a marketing package that contains both FSX Deluxe and FSX Acceleration, you can install either one but not both. This is printed in the small instruction guide that came with the package (even if you downloaded it). I recommend you determine which you're running for any other posts you may have to make seeking assistance.

 

To answer your question though:

 

Start whatever version of FSX your running, select "CHANGE" under "Current Location" and then select "Clear Filters".  That should do the trick.

Thanks, I take your point about "Gold", but I can't remember having to select either when I installed so how do I tell which one I've got, please?

 

And I'm afraid clearing the filters just reverts everything to the whole world.

 

If I then select UK, it's back to Wales and Any under State/Province with just EGFA in Wales!

This is also my first post. I have exactly the same problem going to cfg. and deleting Wales to Any still reverts back to Wales. 

 

Have you by chance installed UK2000 excellent Cardiff I seem to think my problem  started after my install althougth I don't see what the connection would be. I've put it down a quirk of FSX.

When I temporarily de-select UK2000 Cardiff from the Scenery Library, problem solved.

 

There's nothing about this on the UK2000 Forum, so I'll contact Gary Summons for his advice.
