A question on the different versions

Featured Replies

I just convinced an online friend of mine flying the NGX without FS2Crew is almost a sin  and now he wants to know exactly which version he should go for.

I'm using the Emergency pack for the NGX but as I understand it looking at the homepage this is only an addon for the main product which would be FS2Crew Special Bundle pack or the Captains set - is that correct? That would mean he should go for the Special Bundle pack which includes both the button and voice control version of FS2Crew for NGX and then if he wants he can add the Emergency pack later on if he wants. Is it not possible no longer to only buy the voice edition of FS2Crew for NGX since he will only be running the voice edition?

Then lastly when it comes to some of the latest updates like having the FO setting the transponder code, is that also available in the FS2Crew Special Bundle pack or is that only available in the Emergency pack?

Hi Richard,

Correct, you cannot buy 'voice' separately.

What your friend will want is:

Special Bundle Pack + Emergency NGX (assuming he wants failures).

If he also wants the 737 ground school, he can get the Captain's set in lieu of the Special Bundle pack.

The Special Bundle Pack does not have the latest updates incorporated into Emergency NGX.

The update for the "Special bundle pack/ Captains Set" will be released probably next Friday.

Cheers,

Thanks Bryan, what you suggest is exactly what he already bought yesterday so then all is good and we're one more in the FS2Crew family
