May 12, 201313 yr I can't remember if this started after any particular settings changes or add on installs, but this is driving me nuts. When taxiing to and from the runway, every so often an AI aircraft in the distance (also taxiing) will suddenly develop a large momentary cloud of smoke, almost like exaggerated landing tire smoke, which completely envelope's the aircraft. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what could be causing this? I am using MT 5.4 by the way. Thanks, Rick. Rick Hobbs
May 12, 201313 yr I think this is normal and I guess you can consider it a bug in FSX. I get it all of the time too. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! May 12, 201313 yr I don't know if it is some or all AI planes, but I see it too occasionally. Check the [EFFECTS] section of the aircraft.cfg. (if you can identify which plane is doing this) You could try removing any touchdown or smoke entries in the aircraft.cfg for that plane and see if it gets better. You would, of course, lose the touchdown smoke puff after that...
