Just fit the Bendix King stack by FSD in my C310

Featured Replies

The gauges are supposed to be able to replace the stock Bendix stack 1:1 and so should in theory work great with the C310 FreeRadio version too. It did take some manual tweaking, because initially the radios were all stretched and didn't fit, but I figured it out (can post the panel.cfg if MilViz are OK with that?). A few shots:

The frame rate is very nice. On my system, the 3D Analog version stutters a bit and is about 5-8 FPS slower than many equal addons. It drops as low as 12-13 FPS occasionally where as the FreeRadio version is always in the high teens or higher. With the FSD radios, the FPS is only about 0.5 FPS lower than the default radios. Even if you have a faster system, this gives you a nice alternative C310 panel layout with all-Bendix radios.

I expect the difference in fps and smoothness between the stock analog cockpit and the free radio version is due to the 3D knobs in the stock cockpit. We all love the eye candy, but 3D knobs, switches, etc. add polygons and that places more stress on your computer's CPU. I wish more developers would follow MilViz's lead and build virtual cockpits with a free radio option, at least in aircraft where custom radio installations would be realistic.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
