I am trying the tutorial flight, and note that when I go to select a STAR, I seem to have a different list available to me-  the FRANZ6 is not one of then...  is there a navaid update or something that I need to do? Also noted that when selecting the airway V98, instead of 3 to choose from I only had 2...  I just downloaded and purchased this from Just Flight on Friday evening so assume my copy is current?

Are you doing the updated tutorial flight, or the first tutorial flight that came with the Q400 when it was released? If you are doing the old one, I would just recommend to skip that one and go to the updated one, which you can download from here:

The old one from what I hear was written a while ago, when the FRANX6 was current, and I guess the nav-data has gotten updated since then. The Q400 came with the most recent AIRAC from when it was released, which was in (April, I think?) but the tutorial was not reflective of that.

 

The updated tutorial is much more in depth, providing the flows, from cold to dark, to shutdown, flying a leg from Toronto, ON, to Newark, NJ. The SID, STAR, and approach plates are also included in the PDF. I often reference it when flying, so make sure to send it to dropbox or some other PDF reader if you have a secondary laptop, iPad, or other tablet to use alongside the plane!

EDIT: You have to click Tutorials on the bar immediately below the main link bar which contains "Home, News, Products," etcetera, there should be a secondary link bar which has links to Docs, Repaints, Tutorials, Custom Scripts. Hope this helps.

Thanks- much appreciated and sure explains a lot .... I had gone on the web and found a totally different set of procedures than was in the FMS list that I was trying to find, so I was thinking that something had gone bad....

You will need to download from the link above (for documentation) as well as from the official Majestic Forum to get the FLT file too.
