How do we cancel FMC entries?

Featured Replies

1.       I program the FMC then, just before takeoff, I save.

2.      At a later date I place the Aircraft at another Airport and need to program a different Flight Plan.

However the FMC still contains the original information. I’ve tried changing the departure and destination but that doesn’t wipe away all the original entries.

I'd appreciate help.

Did you try it without saving before takeoff? The saving is not mandatory for your flight.

I never save it. after every landing i can go to RTE page and begin a new sector.

I'd like to be able to set up a flight by placing the aircraft at a departure airport and runway, to program the FMC and to prepare the plane for takeoff. And finally save it for loading any time I need that particular flight again. In that way I hope to  build up a library of flights. Then all I have to do is load the flight of choice and take off.

I have my first flight saved. To make my second flight I placed the aircraft at a different airport, opened the FMC to program it anew.......and found that it was setup for my first flight.

Now I'm trying to find out how to cancel all that information and start the new setup from scratch for the second flight. But I don't know how to cancel it and start anew.

I think you need to exit FSX after your first flight is saved and and start the whole process again at your second airport.

Another option - load the NGX_DEFAULT panel state - that should do it as well.

Bingo! It solves the problem........thanks..........
