Just you actually

Because he was actually on subject and possibly could've helped.

To the OP check the forums as said above, sure they'll sort you out.

Eh life's too short.

I'm finished with this thread and sticking my nose in.

Apologies JSkorna

Hi,

Happened to me also regularly with the FT 737 Classic.

Normally I already set the (expected) STAR and landing runway when preparing at departure.

Not anymore for the FT 737 because it doesn't like the arrival changed once it had initially been set.

Very annoying but we/I have to live with that.

For runway specific SIDs and STARs I only use the points common to all runways in the flight plan sent to ATC. This lets me handle with the ATC product in my tag runways dynamically assigned. I do not assign the FMC/FMS terminal procedures until ATC assigns them in Ground or Approach communications. I do not use FS ATC so I do not know if that can be handled that way. Of course the waypoints used in the FMC database and the plan must be in sync with the ATC plan. I use AIRAC subscriptions to update my planner and the FMC database.

Now, I assume here that by the quoted statement the the FT can handle the SID and STAR assignments during the flight one time only during ground operations and approach as long as they are not initially entered.
