June 6, 201312 yr Taking spin training (with Rich Stowell) was a real eye opening experience and extremely valuable. It is obvious that this pilot did not have that experience and I can imagine what he was feeling as he spun and/or spiraled in a 172 in IMC. He is lucky that his AI was still working for him to rely on it to level off in IMC. Have you done any spins yet?
