Flight Planning Programs

Featured Replies

Was wondering what flight planning programs are being used by the FS9 community. I have FS Build, but would like to see what others are using and how well they like it. What would really be great, is if there is something that would work on the ipad. Thanks for your input.

Plan G

Yet another example of a completely useless, pointless Skorna post. Thats why his post count is what it is.

How was that post useless and pointless?

Plan G is flightplanning software and that is what you asked for.

I like to use Plan G for VFR planning.

You can build a VFR/dead reckoning plan with it.

It uses online maps which give a lot of detail about the terrain below.

For IFR I find it less useful.

For IFR I use a combination of these:

Find routes: http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/

Find routes: http://www.simroutes.com/fb2/ShowPlans.aspx

Parse route and make .pln for FS9: http://www.simroutes.com/fb2/ParseRoute.aspx

US charts and worldwide map: http://skyvector.com/

Well then, I stand corrected, and I offer an apology to Jim Skorna, Jim please accept my apology.

Will look into all the offerings mentioned and check them out.

Jeroen79, thanks for your input, and for setting me straight.
