I can struggle along with my 5 something Ghz capable 2700K SB until then I guess.

But FSX is bad at using more cores. And are they not going to be more expensive ? Is it really certain that we will be able to clock this CPU higher compared to now?  More cores more heat more difficult ?

Good news for us photo scenery users with 8 cores/16 threads.. For most other FSX users the Haswell available right now is a much better CPU.

I'm thinking XP-10.....XP-10 should have a lot more to offer by 2014.
