June 16, 201312 yr The only stock aircraft I fly is the default C172. I'd like to exclude the others from my acft loading screen to help organize my in-game selection window. Is it save to, say, rename whatever folders I don't want to use to *.bak ? I don't play the missions either but I wondered if my addons that happen to use a file from stock planes would have an error because a certain gauge or sound would not load. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
June 16, 201312 yr There is probably a better way but I go to the aircraft.cfg files for each plane and ///// before all the models after [------ .0]. I also do the same for lots of liveries that are provided with payware. In that case I renumber the ones I keep starting with 0. No rearranging is required. I will check back here and see if there is a better/easier way. Neal Howard
June 16, 201312 yr Actually you only have to task out the first entry of [fltsim.0] ie: //[fltsim.0] Then they won't show in your aircraft selection menu. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
June 16, 201312 yr Easiest way; You don't even need to go into individual aircraft.cfgs as above, simply go into the root directory of each of the default aircraft (eg... "C172" folder), within the SimObjects / Airplanes directory, then rename the "Panel" folder to "PanelBAK". That's all you need to do. Any aircraft in your FSX directory that does not have a 'Panel' folder, will not show up in the FSX aircraft list, so renaming the 'Panel' folder is all that's required.
June 17, 201312 yr Not my thread...but Thanks for the info. Both ways are much easier than mine. :Applause: This goes into my "Old Dog Learns New Trick" manual. Neal Howard
