I have been a FSX user and I will continue to use it but I wanted to give X Plane 10 a try so I installed it today. I don't have any idea about addons so I want your recommendations. Only scenery I will get is TruScenery for now. What other products should I get? It has much better textures so I won't need GEX/UTX. I need a weather engine and traffic. Also is there any PMDG quality planes? Thanks

No weather injector yet, but XPX's default weather, RWW, is much better than default or even injected FSX weather in terms of physical effects, while the visuals may need some revamp...

 

There is only one AI traffic add-on that I know about, but still in it's first release lacking the features of equivalent products for FSX.

 

Moving to XPX is marrying this sim :-)  Give it time, don't give up, it'll only get better ;-)

As a first step in Europe try taking off from one of the Swiss airports (my favorites are Lugano and Buosch) and do a few round trips. The combination of lakes and mountains is amazing and really shows XP at its best.
