Help please, Missing panel?

Featured Replies

I have pmdg 737 -800/900 installed and I've been using it for a while but never properly as such and have just been reading tutorials on how to do an autoland. However after reading up on how to do it I've noticed that a pretty important part of one of the panels is missing, Basically on the aft electrical panel the box where you can enable the cat III landing and add runways length and elevation etc isnt there.

Here is a link to an image of what I mean, It is the same in the virtual cockpit aswel. Have I done something wrong or silly?

Haven't yet tried a reinstall but just looking for some suggestions.

I'm sorry I don't know the technical name for the particular gauge but it should be in the middle from what I've seen.

The bit you are looking for is actually to programme the heads up guidance system. If you do not have that on the aircraft (enabled in the cdu under equipment in the pmdg menu), then you will not have the associated bit on the pedestal. You do not need it for an autoland as far as I am aware, so just skip that step.

You'll note the tutorial has you in the PMDG livery of the NGX.  There's a reason for that: the tutorial is written for the equipment they loaded with the livery.  Aircraft equipment is saved per livery, as mentioned in the Introduction Manual.  At the very least, make sure to read the intro manual, along with the tutorials. Stephen addresses the rest of your question.

Correct.  The head up guidance is not required for an autoland.  In fact, many companies use it instead of certifying and maintaining currency of an autoland-capable aircraft.  The HUGS can be used instead for the same approaches (well, at least up to CAT IIIa).

Welcome to the forum Haidar.

When requesting help, you should create your own thread, unless it is relevant to what we're discussing here (which it is not).

Also, your question is better placed here: http://forum.avsim.net/forum/121-ms-fsx-forum/

as  kyle  has suggested  best bet is  to make your  own thread  and not hijack some  one  else  but   to your problem sound like  a font  problem  if  you do  a search  for this  you will find  your  solution
