Gauges not moving smoothly..

Featured Replies

Hi all,The default gauges are not moving smoothly at all. Is there free/paid addon gauge package to replace the default one? Thnx.

Try http://www.projectmagenta.com/Its little pricy..and works with an additional computer/laptop. I use my office laptop for this while the Fsim runs on my home desktop and its awesome.

Yes, you can replace:www.reality-xp.comBut analog gauges remain non-smooth. So far no cure for that.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2, Omega 2.7.90 (4xAA 16xAF)

regarding analog gauges - someone else mentioned Project Magenta. They have a "GA-IFR" panel which is fairly application-specific (i.e. practicing instrument flying in GA aircraft) but does provide extremely smooth analog gauges. However - the best way to run any PM product is on a dedicated, 2nd computer. That system must have a reasonably capable OpenGL-compliant graphics accelerator, such as any later model NVidia card (not MX though). Trying to run these products on the same system as FS will probably be frustrating unless you have a really fast system with a multi-output graphics card.Dave Blevins
