June 28, 201312 yr Hi all! I was just wondering whether bearing/bearing, bearing/distance and other custom type waypoints are supported by the FMS? Thanks all Matteo Capocefalo MED1473
July 2, 201312 yr It isn't mentioned in the Majestic feature list. I'd put class custom waypoints in with "FMS NAVIGATION, FUEL MANAGEMENT AND BASIC PERFORMANCE" which is in all versions.
July 3, 201312 yr Hmmm... maybe a direct question to Majestic is required. I asked in the Majestic forum yesterday. Disappointingly, they answered that it will not be in the Pilot version. They said it was a custom option in the real aircraft so it would be an extra in the sim too. I don't see how that fits their stated philosophy defining what the Pro should include. I'm also quite surprised custom waypoints aren't standard in the real FMC, but apparently they are.
July 3, 201312 yr I'm getting confused here Kevin. Are you asking for them in the PILOT version, the version we have now? You seem to be in the Majestic forum thread? http://majesticsoftware.com/mjc8q400/support.html I assumed they would be in the PRO version, which I'm happy with. And majestic don't seem to be denying that they will be in the PRO version.

The Pro version isn't out yet so it could hardly be regarded as missing from it. Custom waypoints come under the heading of FMS Navigation, and are hardly advanced or abnormal operation which supposedly is the difference between Pilot and Pro. Still, Majestic think differently.
July 5, 201312 yr They do say it's an airline option though. So I do see there point that it's a valid choice not to include it in their basic version.

But it's their product to define how they like so my opinion isn't important. All the same, I think it would be help if they updated the product page to make it clear that airline options are Pro features.
