June 30, 201312 yr Hey guys, I'm only starting with 737ngx, and I can't flip BAT switch on the overhead in VC, no matter how I change my view angle, or mouse button. Whereas on 2D panel all switches flip with no problem both with the left and right mouse buttons. Normally I don't use 2D panels, most of the other switches and knob seem to move ok in VC. What is the problem here? Thanks, Igor.
June 30, 201312 yr Author Well, it seems that FS2Crew is the culprit here, it does now allow me to start manually. Thanks, Igor.
July 1, 201312 yr Author Well, it seems that FS2Crew is the culprit here, it does now allow me to start manually. Thanks, Igor. Sorry it was late last night. I uninstalled fs2crew, uninstalled pmg737 completely, then reinstalled 737 both variations, sp1c installers. Checked the overhead - again most of the metal switches in vc can't be moved by mouse. The majority of the switches with the white plastic cover seem to flip ok. Most of the knobs are ok, but the black covers don't open/close. Do you have any idea? I thought I was in good control of my pc: win7 x64, UAC @minimum, i3770k, Word Not Allowed's install, all usual stuff (like FSUIPC etc.) is in. Thanks, Igor Petrov. PS: I even checked the other ngx, and all switches on the overhead worked ok. No problem in LVD767, AXE.
July 1, 201312 yr Commercial Member What other NGX? Beyond that, are you sure you haven't backed your eyepoint into the headrest of the seat? Was the installer run as an admin? While running FSX as an admin shouldn't really affect internal processes (flipping switches), it could, so make sure FSX is being run as an admin as well. As usual, I have to throw in my normal note here: Uninstalls/reinstalls should be a last resort. Sometimes, doing so can cause more problems than you're hoping to fix. In the future, I'd hold off on doing so until you've exhausted all options here. Kyle Rodgers
July 1, 201312 yr Are you sure it was registered properly? Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.

In the future, I'd hold off on doing so until you've exhausted all options here. 1) I meant iFly 737ng for FSX 2) I used generic views switching and also TrackIR separately to make sure there's nothing in the way of my view. 3) I think I'm running all executables as admin. Anyway I double checked launching FSX as Admin, but still nogo. Thanks, Igor.
July 1, 201312 yr Author Are you sure it was registered properly? Bryan, I am not. When I reinstalled it from scratch today at no point the installer asked me for the Activation key, which may be normal as I had activated it once on this system. Thanks, Igor.
July 1, 201312 yr Author For what it matters I can not open a single cover with the mouse, no matter where it is. When I place the mouse cursor on a cover (like some of the switches that don't work) the mouse doesn't chane to a hand, but when I right/left click once it turns into a hand, sometimes grayed out. Why me? Thanks, Igor.
July 1, 201312 yr Commercial Member When you select the NGX from the free flight screen, minimize FSX. The activation screen should be hanging out in the background. Kyle Rodgers

Kyle, I selected Boeing 737-800NG in the free flight menu, then minimized FREE FLIGHT FSX Acceleration window, and there's nothing behind it. There are some Licensing executables running in Win Task Manager, but nothing, that I can see behind FSX or in the task bar. Thanks, Igor. I can remember something always ran first moment in the background when I selected PMDG737ng in FS9. There's nothing I can see running behind FSX when I select 737NGX. Thanks, Igor.
July 1, 201312 yr Commercial Member Smart to check the task manager. So it seems that it's running, but your computer isn't presenting it properly. I remember mine did that, but it was always hanging out behind the simulator. In searching the forum, I found a pointer to this knowledge base article (which I can't get to at work, so I can't check for you to see if it might work or not - sorry): http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx Kyle Rodgers
July 1, 201312 yr Author I hate to have done it, due to all my other planes' custom settings and macros, but removing of FSUIPC.ini has helped. It was mentioned in the Introduction. Thanks for the help and comments. Igor. PS: on a positive note I thought just recently it was time to rebuild my FSUIPC.ini that grew huge over time with all my planes.
July 2, 201312 yr I had the same problem with the click-spots. For me - unassigning the "cowl-flap-axis" in fsuipc solved the problem! ppl
