How to call a managed DLL (dotNet) from native C++ (or C)

Dai, I know that is simply a really trivial example, but I can't help but think that it's a rediculously complicated way to simply "add two numbers..." :LMAO:

What would be the 'advantage' of having a 'managed DLL'??  I find them far more annoying and worthless personally... but, that's just me.  Never been one to embrace every newfangled 'idea' Microsoft's 'geniuses' come up with. LOL

Bill - consider yourself shot :P

Ed - I had (what was to me) an insoluble problem in C that needed just one line in dotNet, but I concede your point about them being definately annoying at times. Managed dlls - especially managed obfusticated dlls with no export tables - give me horrendous problems at work.
