July 3, 201312 yr So I've wanted to play FSX for a long time now, I've just never had the time to do so. I'm not a computer genius, I just want to know the basics of what to buy/download that will enhance my experience. Things like controls and graphic stuff.

July 4, 201312 yr Depending upon the aircraft you will be flying I would suggest a flight yoke or joystick. Then maybe start browsing the Avsim library for some scenery around your home or other areas that you would like to fly. Once you've flown the default aircraft with some local scenery and are sure that you want to continue with FSX, then start considering the payware stuff. Enjoy, Ernie
July 4, 201312 yr Rex essentials is well worth a look , I personally like horizon gen x photo scenery with tree scapes & uk 2000 airfields for uk , earth simulations give photo real scenery with auto gen to match orbx scenery , orbx scenery is also very good with pnw, Pacific fjords & new Zealand South being my favourites , vox atc is brilliant as you talk to atc through your headset . Pc pilot magazine is full of reviews hints & tips on all things flight sim & since I discovered it have not missed an issue & I generally buy anything they give a platinum award to. <p> Paul Sleight
