pfd nd blink?

Featured Replies

Hi all. In real cockpit vids why pfd, nd blink while landing? They appear normal during cruise. If It is my wrong observation and if already asked then I am sorry. If I am correct can we get this little feature in pmdg 777? Thank you.

They don't blink

I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.

They do blink... very quickly so normally you can't see it unless you point a video camera at it.

They do not blink to the eye, on a video they look like they blink on a video camera is the difference in the camera and display refresh rate.

I've been on the flightdeck too many times to count and no matter what I've been doing or looking at I've never seen them actually blink in person.

David is still correct, though. They do blink, it's just at a rate way above the maximum the human eye can keep track of.

In the same way... Just because you don't see a bullet flying, doesn't mean it isn't there.
