I've been fly aircraft in FSX/X-plane and in real life for a while now (only total 30 days in real life) but I have some questions on ENB/SweetFX/Shade. 

 

1. Is ENB/SweetFX the same thing pretty much? Or do I use both of them at the same time?

 

2. What is the most realistic preset shade for Shade 1.02, realistic in the west coast or the central US.

 

3. If I could get some help on installing these 3 addons, that I've seen so many great pictures combined.

 

4. I usually run FSX with DX9 instead of DX10 but I'm open on suggestions on what I should change my settings around to, to get the best of FSX with Shade/ENB/SweetFX - -

Oh I forgot if you could also provide links to ENB and w/e else I would need to get my FSX to look 100% instead of 95%! Haha

There have been many discussions about the ENB series mod and Sweet FX here in this forum.  Both cause crashes for most who have installed these mods.  Up in the upper right hand corner of this forum you will see a search tool and you simply need to search here for ENB or SweetFX or Shade.  You will find many configurations for all three and the problems associated with ENB/SweetFX mods.  The ENB mod and SweetFX are basically the same with SweetFX being the latest.  I use only Shade and use the default settings for Southern California.

Try Sweetfx, Jim says it will make your FSX crash, But I don't experience any crashes with SweetFX.

I'm saying that it crashes, not from personal experience, but if you look at the hundreds of posts in this forum and in the CTD Forum, you will find a lot of people have/had problems with crashes.  Many people have gotten it to work but it is definitely not the majority.

I have tried it all.  ENB works extremely well on my system, no crashes just great performance.  SweetFX crashes my system, I gave up after much tweaking and messing around.  Shade I just find too complicated to get into.

 

I have also just adjusted my monitor saturation, hue etc to give me a look I can live with.
