July 24, 201312 yr Hello I nearly always fly with FS Commander on a seperate screen. I think it is excellent in many ways. I am irritated though by one thing which i think is due to me not setting something correctly - ( it is not a programme I know a lot about ) When i open a plan which i have used before, i find that the cruise level i had set before has changed and the "default" level- usually FL32 - is there - and i have to readjust it back to what i want . Each time i open a plan I use Save As- in FSX and FSC etc and then load it from FSX flight planner. It would be nice, if, when i open that plan on another day, that it is exactly as I saved it last time. Does anyone know what I have got set wrong, or not set etc that causes this reverting back to cruise level that i don't want? thanks
July 24, 201312 yr You have done nothing wrong. Thats just the way the program is, the flight plan altitude is set by the cruise altitude of the aircraft you have selected. If you cant remember the FL you had in a previously made flight plan you can open the xxxx.pln with notepad and check before you open it with FSC. Tommy
July 24, 201312 yr If you set your desired cruise altitude in the 'Aircraft' menu, then it should always be there until you change it or change the aircraft you are using. For example, I planned a flight from LGKR to EGCC with the 737 and my flight level was 360. I punch the value in here and it should always be there: Jaime Boyle
