July 24, 201312 yr Hi all, I was hoping to get some help with the multiplayer in FSx and the flight planner. We use Hamachi's Logmein to create a virtual network and start a multiplayer session through the local network. All of us fly the Aerosoft F-16 and use flightsim commander. Normally, in a single player game, we are able to create a flight plan in FSC, save it as a .pln and then we're able to load the flightplan onto our right multi function display (MFD), so we're able to see it in game using the in game flightplanner to load the flight plan. Since we usually fly missions we really need people to be able to load their personal flight plan onto their MFDs. Unfortunately in a multiplayer session the game doesn't allow us to open the flight planner, meaning we won't be able to load a flightplan onto our MFD. This is vital to us and I was hoping anyone could help me get it onto the MFD? Many thanks

July 25, 201312 yr If you load a flight plan then connect in multiplayer you will have the flight plan in place. Likewise you can load a flightplan once connected. That is for the FSX flight plan function. Not sure why the MFD can't be loaded but don't know the Aerosoft F-16. None the less you can connected through the FSX multiplayer screen (just tested this on FSOpen). If it is a server setting function you can disable the pause on screen change in FSX - Options | Settings | General - uncheck the 'Pause on task switch' box. An alternative is to fly on a server like VATME (http://www.vatmegroup.com/). Provides a multi-player environment with all the functions you have as a stand-alone (unconnected) pilot in FSX free flight. You can even change aircraft when connected.
