October 30, 200421 yr >The Cardinal will soon have reflective shine and raindrops on>the windscreen, if what I am told is correct.I was looking at what to download to get the 177. There seems to be three different files, the original, an update and then an fs9 update, and then there is a seperate 177dual file linked from the review in Flightsim. It doesn't seem clear to me what exactly I need, or in what order, downloading a "fresh" product for FS9.The update you mentioned was already aluded to earlier in the thread, do you have any idea of the timing, I may well hold off until it's available, maybe they will combine all the updates into a single file/install. OK, probably a vain hope.* Orest-~~~~~~~~~Orest SkrypuchUAL1445 DENFOCYFD - Canada Orest Skrypuch President & CEO, UVA www.united-virtual.com
October 30, 200421 yr The Dreemfleet Piper is much better in flight dynamics..IMO.the 172R... Hmm...OK.. and the attitude indicator is plain wrong. Even If I use that knob to adjust it...the inside ball doesn't line up properly..its a big irritant for me. The Six major instruements are are so important to get it right. Espcially the attitude indicator. The slow flight and stall in the 172R is simply awful IMO.. Flying by the numnbers for IFR in the 172R and the Piper are both good. Sorry flight1. I was disappointed with 172R... but its certainly eye candy ..thats for sure. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
October 31, 200421 yr >The slow flight and stall in>the 172R is simply awful IMO.. I couldn't disagree more about the slow flight, after tweaking my trim commands to be a little more precise I can easily get the F1 172R down to 40KIAS and perform climbs, descents, and turns. I've yet to get ANY other 172 to even keep steady at even 50KIAS.I will conceed that the stalls feel a little over-aggressive using the spinnable FM though.
