If I have REX already installed for FSX, can I use it for P3D

Featured Replies

Without having to install another copy? I have FSX and P3D installed on the same HDD. Since I already have REX and most of my other addons like UTX, OpusFSX, EZdok Camera, FS Global Meshes, is there a way I can make P3D use the one's installed for FSX? I would hate to have to install everything twice as that can get quite big and take up a lot of space.

So for those of you who have both FSX and P3D install, what is the best way to accomplish this?

ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

You will be able to use it IF you installed REX "outside" of FSX, like in the root of C.  C:\REX etc.

IF you did, then you will have to activate REX for P3D.  In REX console, there is an area in Config Panel / or / Options that allows you to activate P3D.  It will cost you 4.99 for the

license.  I've used it for P3D for months and it works great.

Let me know if you need additional help.  You will NOT need to reinstall REX.
