Wingview FPS

Featured Replies

I was just wondering why my wingview fps stays locked at 30, but when I go into the vc cockpit my frames drop in half? I am running i7 2600k etc, etc. This plane is really bad at the fps drop compared to others. Any ideas how to lower the drop would be great.

Thank You,

Anthony

Did you follow the recommendations from the documentation?

Doing that made my FSX much faster.

It's because of the incredible resolution of the VC and also all the functions. If the aircraft has a HUD that may also cause a drop in FPS. I get 15-25 in VC and locked at 30 in wingview.

exterior views are always easier on framerates than the virtual cockpit - common sense if you think about why.

Thank you. I think I found a solution to my fps being low. All I did was drop my water back to 2x low, and wow locked at 30 even on the vc. I think I'll take the trade off on water quality for more fps. Thank you for your help.
