August 8, 201312 yr Hi I am aware of loading the NGX cold and dark, but I would like to be able to load a custom state that I have saved. I got it to save, but I am unsure of how to load the state once I have saved it. Thanks for the help, Jake G. -Jacob
August 8, 201312 yr PMDG Load State is right next to Save state - just go to your menu in the FMC, then PMDG actions, and you're there. Paul Skol
August 8, 201312 yr Author I am aware of that page, and when I go to it, my saved states are not there. When I checked the folder that has the panel states on my computer, the ones I saved are not in there. -Jacob
August 9, 201312 yr You probaly didn't save them correctly. Make sure when you save a panel state that you give it a name, line select and then click on the Execute button on the FMC to ensure it is saved. Rob
August 9, 201312 yr If you are running Vista or Windows 7 or 8, you will need to run FSX as administrator or the state won't be saved. Kevin O'Connell Kevin O'Connell

August 9, 201312 yr Hi, Jake, Many people suggest that FS X not be installed in one of the default programs folders in Windows 7, to eliminate many unnecessary "protections" for programs installed there. This is the installation recommendation in the NGX Introduction.pdf file. If your FS is installed in one of the default Program folders, perhaps you can eliminate issues of this sort by installing it elsewhere. Not sure if this applies to Windows 8 as well. Mike

Mike Hi It seems like a good idea to do that. I doubt I would have to run as an admin everytime I wanted to save a state, if I loaded FSX to a different folder. Thanks for the help. -Jacob
