FSX Crashing alot

Featured Replies

Your crash reports are not showing a faulting module or giving any hint as to the cause of your crashes.  The only thing that is showing is the Exception Code 0xc0000005 which indicates something in FSX was trying to access an unallocated area of your memory or Memory Access Violation.  Could be a scenery or gauge or sound file, texture, well... anything.  You have moved from having a BEX (Buffer_Exception_Overrun) crash to an AppCrash though.  Do not know if that is significant or not.

I'm going through all our posts here and do not see where you renamed or deleted your Fsx.cfg, restarted FSX and let FSX rebuild the config.  This fixes a lot of problems (mainly because people have the wrong tweaks or their settings are too high).  You might try that.  Rename your Fsx.cfg as fsx.orig then restart FSX.  If it does not work, you can always go back and rename the fsx.orig back to fsx.cfg.

Best regards,

Jim
