2Gb GTX 680 for 3 monitors?

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone is using a 2BG GTX 680 for 3 monitors running at 1920x1080 each? I just found there is a nice feature call NVIDIA surround, and would like to try out 3 monitors setup. I used to use Dualhead2go without any issue, but now I am worrying the performance on 3.

I have a 4GB GTX 680 and works fine, not sure what difference 2 gig will make .

Its best to get 3 identical monitors,  you do get  "stretching" of the view on the outer two, some people hate this  but I found I soon got used to it.  3 monitors are not essential just add a bit more to the overall experience.  I find you get more of an impression of speed when taking off and landing.  One of my friends runs the same PC as me but on a single moniter, I would not want to go back to that!

Its even better if you also add track Ir

.I'm about to replace my EVGA GTX 560 Ti (1Gb) with a 3-monitor, NVidia surround capable GPU.  I already have my 3 monitors (Dell U2412M).  Although I'm not quite over sticker shock, I'm leaning toward the EVGA 780 (3Gb).  Any thoughts on this choice?

Funny... I run (2) 1GB GTX 460 in SLI using surround on (3) 26" monitors using DVI with no issues. I agree I would not want to go back to 1 monitor.
