August 13, 201312 yr Ultimately it would depend on whether you could locate the effect file and disable it in your FSX directory. Although you'd probably have to be model specific for most people to help I'd imagine. Having said that, it is realistic to see vorticies form on the wingtips, but we all have our preferences! First, back up your aircraft.cfg file you are going to edit! Then try the aircraft.cfg of the particular aircraft you want to eliminate the contrails on and scroll down to [EFFECTS] contrail=fx_contrail and place // in front of "contrail". That should eliminate it. Flusifix FSX has different size trails you can try instead. Ric Elmore

August 15, 201312 yr Great! In many addons the vortices are there all through the flight, which is quite irritating.
